Over the last few years in particular, there's been a disturbing increase in people opening spiritual doors and dabbling in the occult. Witchcraft has become a trend and demonic activity is on the rise. Most people are opening spiritual and demonic doorways that they have no idea how to deal with or close back up.

If you keep knocking on the devils door, sooner or later, he'll invite you in...

Ways in Which We Open The Door

There are many ways to open oneself up to demonic energies and paranormal activity. Not everyone does intentional work to invite these forces in. Actually it's far more subtle than that. What you watch, read, listen to, engage in and entertain are all factors in opening doors to negative and positive energy.

Ask yourself;

• What does your daily routine look like?

• What are you feeding your mind with everyday?

• What are you feeding your heart with everyday?

• Whose company are you choosing to keep?

• How are you choosing to feed your spirit?

• What is the energy of your home like?

When we are actively engaging in low vibrational activities, giving into temptations, hanging with the wrong crowd and falling into toxic habits and mindsets, this too will open spiritual doors within us and instil demonic strongholds and ungodly soul ties; which are even harder to close or break free from.

Dealing with Paranormal and Demonic Activity

So, here are some authentic tips for those who may find themselves in need of genuine assistance from demonic attachments or paranormal activity -

• Please be careful just following anyone's advice when dealing with spiritual matters. This too is allowing a doorway to be opened between you and the person you're involving in the situation. Energetically that person will now have access to you and sometimes their energy can make things worse. Another thing to remember is that sometimes spiritual warfare/ attacks or attachments can be sent by people we know and trust... so be careful who you are sharing things with.

• If you are experiencing paranormal activity or suspect something supernatural, the WORST thing you can do is to use a Ouija Board... This device acts as a doorway, solidifying any foothold these energies may already have in your home or your energy. You are not simply communicating with a 'spirit' when you use it, you are calling anyone / anything that hears you to come towards this beacon and enter our world and your life.

• While Ghost Hunting apps can be beneficial in certain cases to gain further confirmation; it’s not an advisable solution from a spiritual standpoint to use these tools unless you want to open the door. Interacting / engaging with these entities (because most are not human) is what gets you in trouble. Just like asking a friend for advice, when you start asking these things questions you are giving them permission and entertaining their presence, thereby granting them further access and influence over you and your environment. Not everyone is prepared for the consequences thereafter. And trust me, there are ALWAYS consequences. It may not be today or tomorrow, but they will catch you when you're down and when you least expect it...

Spiritual and Paranormal Help

• For those who are genuinely going through the terrifying experience of hauntings, paranormal activity or even possession, it can be an incredibly isolating and disheartening experience. Leading victims to seek help in a state of desperation, people often find themselves reaching out to paranormal investigators, psychics or even priests and witch doctors (Sangoma's). (*No disrespect to all the genuine/ authentic professionals in their field.) But when you are SO desperate, you may just pick anyone, you may not do your research on that person/ business or what they do, you may not be aware of the energies they themselves are working with or carrying with them.... and of course you're not actively aware of the doorways they will be opening in your home. So, these services can often make things worse, cause issues and activity to escalate thereby leaving you worse off than you were before.

• If you are truly seeking help, your first point of contact should be your local priest or someone from the church that can actively assist you. As far as paranormal investigators go, they can be helpful in confirming your suspicions or identifying what is there, however, keep in mind that they are opening further doors in your home and giving entities a better stronghold through their interactions and investigations. Then they leave, and YOU are left to live in that house, no better than before.

• This is where myself or others like me come in; for those who are not religious, or maybe their priest / pastor will not / cannot help, you may seek out a true Lightworker and someone who is experienced in these situations to assist you. Be sure to vet people out, and get a feel for their energy, ask them about their beliefs/ spiritual practices, who they work with (in a spiritual capacity) and what energies they are bringing through when they work.

Prayer and faith over fear

• The most important defence you have against these entities and situations is PRAYER and FAITH. No matter your religion, if you have these 2 things and are actively seeking a higher power and presence in your heart and in your life, you are one step closer to overcoming negative forces.
