Discerning The Spiritual; Interacting with Spirit Guides, Angels & Demons

Hi and Welcome to my blog!
Today I wanted to share some helpful tips that you can use when discerning the spiritual energies around you. Before we begin, I must inform you that this post has been made into a vlog on my YouTube channel. If you are reading this right now, you are probably on a spiritual path. You may be seeking answers, guidance, confirmation or even contact with beings and forces beyond this physical plane. You may have been on your path for a while, or this is possibly a spiritual expedition for you as you explore the deep longings of your soul for a greater connection to Source. Whatever your present awareness, experiences or understanding; it's important to be discerning when dealing with things and beings we don’t fully understand and most of the time, we cannot even see. This of course includes entertaining angels, saints, and even encounters with Jesus Christ or The Virgin Mary.
Vetting the Spirits
Historically, there have been many self-proclaimed prophets that thought they were communing with and acting on behalf of God's will. When in reality they were hearing, seeing or being influenced by demons, to execute terrible traps and schemes of destruction, oppression and control ending in tragedy.. Unfortunately, this type of twisted spiritual experience happens more than we think, although we may not be aware of it because not everyone will start a cult, commit crimes or negatively influence the masses.
There are a lot of “testimonies” right now warning against working with spirit guides or angels, as there are people who have been deceived; when their guides turn out to be demons or dark entities… this is a bit backwards in my opinion; If you have been deceived; surely it is by demons pretending to be beings of light… not the other way around?
People don’t seem to realize that your true spiritual team can’t do anything if you have willingly invited these forces in or if you’re not discerning enough to know the difference... Spirit Guides and Guardian Angels are assigned to each soul at birth. These beings of divine light are sent by Source, to assist and guide us on our path. The key word here being assistance and guidance, they are not able to interfere or intervene without our permission. Even then, there is only so much they can do, if we are not willing to acknowledge the signs they give us or to act on them. They can warn us of course, and I’m sure these people would’ve been warned in some way shape or form, but we always think we know better, don't we? And most people, I think are always looking for more, or pushing the boundary, in the way of signs and validation from God and the spiritual realms.
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
One of The first ways to discern whether you are dealing with a being of light vs a dark entity is the way they come through for you or the show they put on. Beings of light do not need to prove themselves in that way. They know they are divine and they know that if you tap into their energy, you will know that too, you’ll feel that in their presence, intentions and influence in your life naturally. They won’t put on any sort of show for you and they wont play games.
Dark entities however, will. They often overcompensate when impersonating beings of light, which we know as the term ‘false light’. If you tune in energetically, you should be able to discern that something about their energy isn’t what it should be. One thing that no one can fake, is vibration. Energy doesn’t lie, so if you are receiving messages, visions or instruction and ideas from what you believe to be a divine or light being; notice how their energy makes you feel. Is it consistent? Does it change or fluctuate? What about the messages you are receiving, are these things helpful and beneficial to your growth, healing and improvement? Are they asking you to behave in a secretive way or trying to cause conflict and upset with others around you? Notice and examine any red flags.
As in the below quote from William Shakespeare, not everything that appears to be good or godly on the outside is good or godly on the inside… Just as in human relationships; a relationship with a spiritual being or entity can start off friendly and harmless and suddenly things can turn ugly pretty quickly once they have gained your trust or gotten what they needed from you. While this may sound like a typical horror movie script, there is much truth in the moral of those stories. Today, people don’t believe in spiritual warfare and attack the way they used to, which is ironic because there are more ways than ever before to invite dark entities and low-level energies into our lives. We are immersed in so much darkness daily as a collective, that sometimes it becomes difficult to tell the difference between what is helpful and what is harmful to us.
The next sign that these beings are not of the light, would be the manner and the speed in which your ‘prayers’ are answered. This sounds weird, but hear me out, timing and execution in which one's prayers are answered or blessings delivered, can be a good indication of what / who you are dealing with. While of course miracles do occur, those who walk with God and follow a path of light, will know that God is all about emphasizing and teaching us patience, appreciation and humility. He’s all about growing our experiences and understanding, so that we can be our best selves. God's plan is a long term plan, it's not about where you are right now; it's about the potential for your future, the purpose placed within you, and the choice you make to commit and follow through.
Are you with Him (God) for the long haul? Or are you only in this relationship because of what you think you can get out of it in your time of need?
The Grand Design
God doesn’t think small and He doesn’t do anything temporary unless He has something better around the corner, He works in our waiting and so do His angels and your spiritual team. They purposefully do not cater to our every whim, because when we walk with God, we understand that our plan and His plan are not in the same league. What He has for us and what we think we need or want in the moment cannot compare with the grand design. The path of light is not about instant gratification, in fact, more often that not, it is a path carved from sacrifice, isolation and deep pain. It is a walk that will challenge every superficial, fake or conditioned thing about you that you learned from this world and it will strip you of it all. Places, people and things. So that you can find yourself underneath all the masks and falsities, and in turn so that you can find Him. To others this may look like you are suffering or walking all alone, but really you are set apart and surrounded by and embodying the true spirit of God, that which the likes of this hell realm cannot see nor understand.
On the other hand, dark entities are all about material wealth, lustful desires, status and instant gratification. If you are looking to fulfil some earthly desire then, they are the ones to go to. And that is really the reason that most celebrities, young people, spiritually immature or misguided souls are drawn to demons and the darkness. It is supposed to lure you in, and then they still need to keep you hooked. So, when dealing with these entities you will know immediately by what they offer you and what they ask for in return. Anything that seems too good to be true, usually is; and the price paid for these sorts of curious encounters can be the life of another or in some cases your own soul.
Beyond the Veil
Using our spiritual discernment is vital whether we are actively trying to communicate with spiritual beings or not. These beings are all around us and they are always there. The spiritual worlds are separated from ours by a mere veil that prevents detection and any clashing of the realms, but this doesn’t mean they are not there or they don’t exist. Most times people are looking to make contact, is after the death of a loved one. Death brings forward many questions and fears that we have regarding the soul and our next destination.
This is when many will turn to occult options such as Ouija boards, Mediums or even summoning rituals in order to make contact. Unfortunately, what they don’t realize or care to research is the ways in which this type of communication can be dangerous. Majority of the time, our loved ones have in fact moved on. And while we may feel them, hear them or even sense their presence, they are not going to come through with the use of that board. The spirits trying to communicate, the ones that will come through, are stuck, lost souls and worse; very low vibrational or dark entities. They wait around for those who are not protected, easily influenced, or in a state of deep pain or grief; thus making one more susceptible to their charms and temptations. These entities prey on grief, pain, fear and trauma. They will tell you anything you want to hear, and pretend to be anyone you need them to be; so that they have a chance of gaining trust. Thus, latching on to you or gaining a better footing in our world.
A Higher Power
Our spirit guides, angels and higher beings of light, will not ask anything of us in return for their help. Nor do they require us to sit with a tool to speak to them or to invite them in. Again I must stress, they are always with us. They are an energy that most people do not acknowledge or they're not aware of at all. As a society we have learned to keep them in the background thus, not taking the time to get to know them properly, or connect to and embrace them. When dealing with God, Jesus, the Holy spirt and other beings of divine light, they will never ask us to do anything to feel closer to them, nor will they expect some sort of payment from us. All they ask is that we truly believe and we open our hearts to receive their divine love, grace and guidance. While it may be easier for us to encounter divine beings when our energetic vibration is raised; it is not necessary, in order to have a relationship with them. God knows we are human, He knows the struggles as well as the growth we have each been through, and He appreciates every single step we take towards Him and the light.
For God does not see as man sees; man looks at the outward appearance, but The Lord looks at the heart.

Cultivating a deep connection to God and the Divine Realms should be our primary goal when dealing with the spiritual world and walking our spiritual path. When in doubt call on God and the Holy Spirit. The more you talk to God the more likely you are to hear a response. The stronger our relationship with God, the better our intuition and discernment of the spiritual world will be also. For when we know God, we know ourselves and only when we know ourselves, will we be able to discern what is for us and what isn’t.
