Tarot Cards are a tool used in the spiritual practice of divination. The images, numbers and other details on the cards have meaning, and each card tells its own story. When reading Tarot cards, the reader will use their knowledge of the cards along with their intuition and other spiritual abilities to tap into your energy, thereby allowing the cards to provide insight and clarity to you as the client.

Unfortunately, this is a question and perception that many people have, however, the simple answer is NO. Tarot is a tool of divination, and like any tool, the capacity for good or for bad will depend on the wielder. This is why it is so important to use your discernment when picking a Tarot Reader. Different readers will work with different energies. While some readers carry and work with dense, dark or heavy energies, others, such as myself, choose to work with the light and a higher power. The short answer here would be No..... Tarot cards are great for showing you what may be up ahead by offering insight into different outcomes and situations that one can expect on their current path. However, the predictions are not fixed, the energy the cards pick up on is ever changing, as are you. It's important to remember, one always has free will and the power of choice in any given moment. More than anything, Tarot can be a guiding light for those seeking truth and clarity. It can also provide warnings of things to come based on your current thoughts, actions and decisions. Thus affording one the opportunity to choose differently, thereby perhaps even avoiding undesirable outcomes or situations.

One thing I know for sure is that you should never get a reading if you don't want to hear the truth about a situation... The Tarot is a helpful BUT brutally honest form of divination when used correctly. The cards don't lie, and people can get quite upset or offended if they are in some form of denial or unable to accept certain things about their lives, themselves or their situation. Tarot readings are a great way to gain insight, information and validation about your life from an unbiased party. It can help you get answers, a fresh perspective and intuitive advice in various areas of your life so that you can be proactive.

When choosing a Tarot Reader many people go by word of mouth, which can be both a good and bad thing... Not everyone is aware of what to look for in a reader, and while your friend may have a good experience with someone, you may not... I find that the more experience or knowledge you have on the subject, the easier it will be to see through fake or mediocre readers. Just like any other professional you would seek out, do your research before simply picking a reader.

First and foremost, you need to be comfortable with that person's energy, check out their website or YouTube channel and suss them out beforehand. Contact them and ask any questions you may have, and see what feeling you get from those interactions. Finally, don't give too much away about yourself before or during your reading unless it's to gain a deeper understanding or to confirm something the cards have already brought up.
