How many of you incorporate colours into your spiritual practices? Maybe there are certain colours you are drawn to, or that you prefer to use around your home? There could also be colours you naturally dislike or tend to avoid altogether. Colours are important in our everyday lives as well as our spiritual practices. Each colour represents different areas of focus or intention that can assist your spiritual workings and even enhance certain energies within your home.

Do Colours make a difference?
The short answer here is yes. Whether you are deciding on candle colour choices, altar cloths and décor or even crystal choices, the colours matter. And they each lend specific energies and intentions toward your spells, prayers and ritual workings.
Of course, if you don't have a certain colour candle, for example, it's not the end of the world; white will always be a preferred substitute for any colour if you're in a bind.
Deity Work and Colours

Aside from what each colour means, which we will be discussing below. There are also the preferred colours when working with deities, angels and other spiritual beings. Whether they each have a specific altar in your home or you would like to establish a better connection to one in particular, each of these beings has certain colours that they are aligned with and that represent them and their energy. This is why it is so important to do as much research as you can when choosing to work with deities and other spiritual or celestial beings. Just like us, they too have preferences and requirements that one can use to better connect with them.
If one were trying to work with Archangel Michael, for example, one should incorporate different shades of blue into their space or on their altar.
